I'm Brianna. Pennsylvania based wedding + portrait photographer. My hair is typically in a messy bun, I usually have a baby on my hip, and I never say no to cake. I want photographs to feel as good as they look, and my overly sentimental, married, momma heart knows the weight of soulful photographs all too well.

20 THINGS TO DO BEFORE I’M 26

Ah yes, as of today, I can rent a car and not pay that extra, crazy fee for being underage.
Justin rolled over this morning and reminded me that I’m a quarter century old and Tucker must sense my new gained maturity because he’s been trying to cuddle me all morning.
I can’t believe I’m 25. It feels no different than 20 or 15. My momma told me this morning that that’s how life goes.
I was sad for maybe a minute because who wants to keep growing up?! But the more I’ve thought about it, 25 is pretty awesome.
I never thought at 20 that I’d be married, self employed, own a home, and have a dog by now!
I cant wait to see all that happens between now and 30!
In the meantime, I made of list of 20 things to accomplish before I’m 26.
If you want to help me out on any of them, join in, or have suggestions…please let me know!

1. Make homemade pie crust. Like well…like proudly.

2. Have more Financial Peace next year at this time than this year (thanks to Dave Ramsey, we are on our way).

3. Make the famous Wilbur Chocolate Cake & have it taste like my mom’s.

4. Be present at all holidays and not at a hospital. Oh wait. I can already check that off thanks to self employment. Woo!

5. Establish a workout regimen I LIKE! This is a hard one. I’m not the type of person who looks forward to running 10 miles a day. I dont want to run a marathon. Or be a pilates instructor. Just find something I like and do it 3 times a week.

6. Go to Charleston. This may be a stretch. I have 365 days to do it. I have no plans in the works. But I need to get some plans in the works. So who wants to go to Charleston with me?!

7. Get published on Style Me Pretty (there, I said it aloud). Of course I have the fear that I will fail and it wont happen. I guess step one would be actually submitting to SMP.

8. Plant things. Some things. Any things. Our little house has zero plants and I have zero knowledge of what it takes to be have a green thumb. I think I’ll start with succulents. And something hearty. Suggestions anyone?

9. Pray more, worry less.

10. Learn film & shoot some of my personal life with said film. Maybe one bride? Just for personal use only.

11. Take my niece to get ice cream & document it.

12. GET FAMILY PICTURES TAKEN! You’d think a photographer’s family would be all up on this. Wrong. There’s always an excuse not to from everyone! Whether it’s “not the right time, we need to get cuter outfits, or I need to lose 5 pounds.” I’m putting my foot down and forcing them all to get together, with or without their cute outfits, and all 5 extra pounds of them.

13. Spend more time enjoying my life away than working my life away. This first couple months of marriage, I was in scrubs or behind my computer. Yes, I plan on busting my butt to make this business work. However, the main point of not working two jobs was to make room for the living part of life. I want to use my time to the fullest!

14. Leave the country. New Zealand here I come!

15. Organize a styled shoot. Something involving a blush gown and a draping, long, lush bouquet. And a flower crown of course. So planner and floral friends….who wants to join?!

16. Wear a flower crown myself, go on a picnic with Justin, and selfie the crap out of it.

17. Go to Virginia with Justin. I don’t know where. BUT I drove back from The Creative at Heart Conference this week and was SO in love with the views, the mountains, and the amount of farms I saw. Fits my country, southern girl heart well.

18. Make more girlfriends and do more things with said girlfriends.

19. Be less introverted & less of a homebody. Shocker right? I definitely come out of my shell on a wedding day. However, I’m not one to insert myself into social situations…voluntarily. So if I reach out to you to go to dinner or plan a girl’s night… It took a lot of nerve on my part :)

20. Plant a mini-herb garden (because mini is all we can do here). I think they’re so cute! I hear they taste good too :) So add cooking with my new herbs to the list.
