I'm Brianna. Pennsylvania based wedding + portrait photographer. My hair is typically in a messy bun, I usually have a baby on my hip, and I never say no to cake. I want photographs to feel as good as they look, and my overly sentimental, married, momma heart knows the weight of soulful photographs all too well.

Wildflower Family Session on Film – The Glick Family

I was so inspired shooting this family & those sessions always tend to be some of my personal favorites. My philosophy for shooting families is centered around savoring the love of now & your current place in life. Not so much – “Okay, I’m going to shoot mom with each kid then dad with each kid then mom and dad together then each kid by themselves and then…” – that is almost TOO systematic and structured to allow for any soulful, free, unplanned moments (for me). Because let’s be honest, somedays you need dreamy reminders that your family is pretty amazing + soulful + you love your husband a ton. Because there will be meltdowns in Target, poop all over things, and sometimes you just haven’t kissed your guy in like…a lot of sleeps. SO! I make photos from that place. Of serving that purpose. Not necessarily from a place of completing a shot list.

Anywho, I photographed this sweet clan in the heat of summer, in one lovely wildflower patch in Lancaster, PA. I used mostly film and they were totally wonderful to be around. I mean: he adores his wife, they have such a kind sweet daughter, the romance is very much alive & well, and they just made my job so dang easy. Meet the Glick Family! Who will become a family of four this year!
