I'm Brianna. Pennsylvania based wedding + portrait photographer. My hair is typically in a messy bun, I usually have a baby on my hip, and I never say no to cake. I want photographs to feel as good as they look, and my overly sentimental, married, momma heart knows the weight of soulful photographs all too well.
Picking a location for a winter session can be tricky because all the trees are brown and bare. That is why I always turn to urban locations in the cold winter months; the buildings provide so much interest that you don’t notice the lack of leaves and green as much! For this reason, I love shooting in downtown Harrisburg for an engagement session in the cold months!
The Harrisburg Capitol Complex is always a favorite engagement session location for me! It is so classic, so beautiful, and so neutral… all the things I love!
Sam and Grace looked right at home here. We ended up shooting inside for a lot of this session because it got really cold. I haven’t shot inside the capitol building in years, but it was such a fun change! There is so much marble and that is something to always be happy about, especially with Sam and Grace in the picture!
P.S. Even though I do love the cool, crisp lighting in the colder months, I am definitely missing the warm glowy summer days! For a warm and sunny change up, check out Tyler & Ali’s Harrisburg engagement session!
PS. If you loved Grace’s dress as much I did, you can find it at ASOS!

Thank you for the note. I will get back to you soon.
