Hayley and Mike ares such a special couple to me. Not only have I photographed their engagement session and wedding, but now, I’ve photographed their new baby girl! When they reached out to me to capture a lifestyle newborn session for Molly at their home in downtown Lancaster, I was over the moon! Their Downtown Lancaster newborn session was quiet, casual, and intimate, just what I envisioned for them.

There’s something incredible about watching one of my couples hold their new baby and celebrating a new life. It’s just a lovely, full-circle moment and I hope I never take it for granted that my couples trust me to capture all of the big milestones of their lives. Hayley and Mike were absolutely meant to be parents and their Lancaster home was just ADORABLE!

Photographing new babies at home is one of my favorite ways to photograph this milestone for my couples. It’s way less stressful than taking a new baby to a studio or on location. Plus…when everyone is less stressed, your portraits are more relaxed and more YOU! So many of my families worry that their home isn’t “perfect” enough for a lifestyle session, but let me tell you: if it’s YOUR home, that’s enough to make it just what we need! Seriously, all we need is one good window and one good corner of a room to make all of your lifestyle portrait dreams come true. If I can capture a beautiful session in late afternoon light in a dark kitchen in the mountains on a dreary day, any home will work for your lifestyle session. Trust me!
