Alex and Ian are getting married at the Hotel Du Village next fall, and on their website’s homepage, it reads: “a french chateau in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.” Say. No. More.  Here at BWP, we love photographing at estates – especially venues with a European flair. While we did not shoot this sweet engagement session at their wedding venue, photographing them in Mechanicsburg, PA sure has me excited for their elegant wedding next fall! I can’t imagine how beautiful Alex & Ian will be amongst that landscape. 

What is even better is that our team has grown, and it’s time we officially announce it!! This is Erica’s couple! She is on maternity leave, so I helped her by photographing Alex & Ian’s engagement session this fall. 

Erica has been photographing with us for about five years now. Just like Susie, it was a very natural progression to have her step into a lead photographer role along with Susie and myself. This means there are now three lead photographers here at BWP serving brides + grooms! I am so excited to see Erica in this role. I have a post coming up showing nothing but Erica’s work and more about her; I’m excited to share it! 

Alex & Ian came all the way from Staten Island for this session, and it truly was a treat. The light was ideal, they were dressed beautifully, and they were the sweetest people. Fun fact: they are beekeepers! I totally got lost talking to them about bees and firing my questions at them for a solid fifteen minutes. They are both so kind, smart, and funny. Ian has such a caring way about him towards Alex and it was a sweet dynamic to witness.
