I'm Brianna. Pennsylvania based wedding + portrait photographer. My hair is typically in a messy bun, I usually have a baby on my hip, and I never say no to cake. I want photographs to feel as good as they look, and my overly sentimental, married, momma heart knows the weight of soulful photographs all too well.
I parked by the greenhouse and she came & picked me up in an orange Kubota.
He wasn’t ready yet as he was gathering the sheep to bring over to a different field….so she drove me around the farm showing me all the fields & animals.
These two aren’t in jeans & boots because “being country” has become increasingly “cool” over the last few years…this is their life and it’s how they make a living. They properly & ethically raise and sell pasture raised beef, pork, and lamb from birth to slaughter. They also provide free range eggs as well as shearing the sheep for wool.
She explained the heartbeat behind their business & farming: bringing well raised, healthy, local food to provide for the local community while educating the public on why this is so important. You can feel how passionate they both are about this. They’ve been in love since sophomore year of high school and are as silly, light hearted, and easy going as can be.
He jumped out of the trailer, flung the door open, the sheep ran out…and he said “let’s do this.”
The evening ended cuddling baby pigs, goats, and lambs. Then they handed me a bag of their farm fresh meat: lamb chops, real smoked bacon, ham steak, and sausage. Does life get any better? Um. No.
