SO! If ya didn’t know, I do small mentoring sessions for photographers who want to learn the basics of film!
This couple modeled for sweet Diane & myself so we could do the hands-on portion of our session.
We spend a chunk of the day in my office going over setup, loading, settings, and the technical side of things (and anything else photography related you want to dive into). THEN we meet up with a real, very normal couple that I have never photographed and we work on posing and putting all that new knowledge into practice!

Anywho. Lindsey & Mitch were PEACHES because it was fa-reeeezing. Like so cold we didn’t even do the headshots that are included in the mentor session for Miss Diane..raincheck.

Photographers – wanna know something crazy? I only shot 4 rolls of film at this “session.” That is 64 frames. I delivered 51 images to Mitch & Lindsey. And culled, edited, and blogged this session in one hour-ish because film can do that for you! How many photos do we usually take at an engagement session on digital? Snapping away because we CAN!? Like..HUNDREDS. It’s amazing how much time you save when you slow down and get intentional with every push of that shutter.

I’m rambling. I love film. I love learning about it. I love sharing my knowledge with others about it.
